Community Connections
In Community Connections we walk alongside people to explore their strengths and create goals that widen and increase the connection they feel to their community. People receive one on one and group support to create new social connections that are meaningful to them and to explore any barriers they feel make connection difficult.
Support is provided over 12 weeks and is flexible and tailored allowing people to feel supported in achieving their connection goals in ways that identify and honour their gifts, strengths and lived experience.
Some examples of support may include helping people to get involved in local community activities, finding new support groups, meeting their neighbours, volunteering, learning new skills or finding opportunity to share their existing skills.
People may be eligible for the program if they:
-Live in South Australia
-Are 18-64 years or 49 for First Nations People
-Are not receiving NDIS or My Aged Care
This is a free service, funded by the Department of Human Services, provided by MarionLIFE and other program partners across South Australia. We welcome all people to enquire about the program, including Aboriginal and Torress Strait Islander people and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
